Rome Photoshoot FAQ

Everything You Need to Know Before Your Photoshoot in Rome

What are the best locations for a photoshoot in Rome?

Rome offers an incredible variety of locations for a photoshoot.

Some of the most iconic spots include the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Castel Sant’Angelo and the Roman Forum, as well as the charming streets of Trastevere and historic Roman alleys.

I usually design beautiful walking routes that combine several locations during one session.

If you’d like inspiration before your session, you can also explore my blog where I share guides about the best photoshoot locations in Rome
Can we choose our photoshoot locations?

Of course.

You can either choose your favorite locations or let me suggest a route based on the light, season and your preferred style.

Over the years I’ve created several photoshoot routes in Rome that work beautifully for couples, families and solo travelers.

You can also find inspiration in my blog where I share ideas about locations, outfits and planning a photoshoot in Rome.
What should we wear for a photoshoot in Rome?

Choosing the right outfit can make a big difference in your photos.

Soft colors, elegant dresses, classic outfits and light fabrics usually photograph beautifully against Rome’s historic architecture.

You will soon be able to find outfit inspiration and styling tips for a Rome photoshoot in my blog.

(Important: some inspiration images may come from Pinterest or external sources and are credited to their original creators.)
What time is best for a photoshoot in Rome?

Most of my photoshoots in Rome take place early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy the soft light.

Approximate start times:

• Spring / Autumn / Winter: around 7:00 – 8:00 AM
• Summer: around 6:00 – 6:30 AM

Some locations in Rome are only suitable in the morning if we want to avoid large crowds.

However, there are also beautiful sunset routes that can be photographed in the late afternoon or early evening.

The exact timing always depends on the location, season and your travel schedule, so we can decide together what works best.
How many photos will we receive from a Rome photoshoot?

Each package includes a specific number of professionally edited photos.

However, here is a little secret 🙂

I usually deliver more photos than the minimum number listed in the package, whenever there are additional beautiful moments from the session.

Think of it as a small bonus from me.
Which photoshoot package is best for families with small children?

For families traveling with small children, I usually recommend a 1-hour photoshoot.

Young children often get tired or lose interest quickly, so shorter sessions tend to work much better and keep the experience fun and relaxed for everyone.

One hour is usually more than enough time to capture beautiful family memories in Rome.
How can we book a photoshoot in Rome?

To secure your photoshoot date, a €50 non-refundable deposit is required.

The deposit can be paid via:
  • PayPal
  • Revolut
I will send you the payment link after confirming availability.

The remaining balance can be paid in cash on the day of the photoshoot.
How far in advance should we book a Rome photoshoot?

It’s always best to book as early as possible, especially during the high season in Rome.

Sometimes last-minute bookings are possible if I still have availability, even one day before the session.

However, Rome is a very popular destination and the best time slots — especially early morning — can be booked quickly.

Booking in advance helps ensure we can schedule the session at the perfect time.
Do you help with posing during the photoshoot?

Yes, absolutely.

Most of my clients are not professional models, so I guide you throughout the entire photoshoot to help you feel comfortable and natural.

My goal is to capture authentic, cinematic moments while making the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
What happens if it rains?

Rome weather can sometimes be unpredictable.

I always recommend planning your photoshoot at the beginning of your trip so we have flexibility if the weather changes.

If rain is expected, we can:

• move the session earlier or later the same day
• reschedule to another day if I am available

If the weather conditions make the photoshoot completely impossible and no alternative time works, your deposit will be refunded.

However, if I offer an alternative time or day and you are unable to attend due to your schedule, the deposit cannot be refunded.
Can you help plan a surprise proposal in Rome?

Yes, of course.

Rome is one of the most romantic cities in the world, and I often help clients plan surprise proposals during their photoshoot.

I can suggest beautiful locations, the best timing for light and help you organize the moment so it feels natural and unforgettable.

You can also find more proposal ideas and planning tips in my blog.
